1st, this is just a funny lesson. I'm thrilled to have this "problem". Leaving this for him to find because he didn't tell me. (He hasn't yet figured out that they'll bite to defend themselves.)
2nd, Snap Circuits are wonderful. My 8yo loves them. I'm actually considering putting an ATTiny85 on a chip with a couple knobs so we can make an LFO and a PWM to blink lights and run motors without consuming all our snap circuit components just to do those functions.
But he discovered my large breadboard recently. This is the result.
