Hide glue pot. Not cheap but works great, you have to bump it down about 10 degrees.

Put a capacitor across that cathode resistor if you want some more umph.
6j7 is a pentode, so the circuit had to be rewired for a dual triode. Could it have been factory done?
Novus plastic polishes.
Do you have a link to that winder? Was it from the US?
Do you make him a offer on the 58' LP?
Found 1 larger style, the others i think were missing so i replaced all 4. I can mail this out, might cost $3 or whatever for the bubble mailer these days.55745

I had the exact same amp last year, same problem. This happens to about 95% of them, either broken or lost. I bought some various knobs online, some work ok, but i didn't think i found anything that...
Taking bias readings with the light bulb or not?
Lucky to see 30w in a old amp like that. I can even bet they are 6l6 metal, or the original ones were anyway.
I was always taught to go careful on anything with plating. Brass brush works best, maybe some spray chemicals.
Best cap does not mean the best sounding amp. F&T's have a good reputation among guitar amp repairers, builders and upgraders. If you look at the specs, they are not the best cap to make the best...
They make mics you plug in the headphone jack on andriod phones. Also parts express sells db meter for $22- $40.
Some sort of Paraphase. There is a model with a 6av6 preamp, that's where somebody said it's close to a Harvard.
Close enough. How else would you get a close result without overly complicating the repair?
No, it should be exactly the same. You have a linear pot with the wiper tied to the end, 100k across it now it's a 50k linear.
That's just how all lead free solder joints look! Seriously though, look at the build quality and organization, guy might not be a perfect soldering tech but looks well enough built to work first...
From looking at the pictures, it looks like a pretty decent homemade build. I would say well worth getting it running, i doubt very much it needs a power transformer, you just need the right tubes in...
Put a pair of el34s in there and see what voltages you end up with. Other than that, the power transformer/transformers may be worth more to someone looking to restore the Heathkit W5m

Have you tired the 5H and a smaller cathode cap?
Think it was 2 transistors for a basic wah. I would buy or make the PCB or perf, reuse the inductor if it's 500mh and the pot, junk the rest.
You didn't say new design. Anyway, i don't think a OA2 is 40's, its a 7 pin. Used in many pieces of Tektronix test equipment. You can get hundreds of them cheap. Instead of daisy chaining all your...
How about a VR tube? Only a couple ma right? You can stack them to get higher voltages. Other than that, I think you would need higher henries than 5H.
Yes, you need to use a fine sandpaper (carefully) before you wrap into the rivets. The solder should flow nice. I do the start rivet soldering before i even wind, because if it breaks when you are...
You need to gold plate them. Ok, not feasible. Tin whiskers on the contacts? Maybe some type of sealant?
I've bought outdoor chinese led christmas lights strings, the light bulb into the socket...
