Instead of AB it should probably be EB. The input coil needs to be higher impedance with an op-amp drive.

The other two relays are for Reverb and Attenuation. Both are normally not engaged. There is a separate footswitch jack for each relay.

The mystery is solved. It turned out to be a bad tube. A filament-to-cathode short in one output tube.

Orange Rockerverb 100W Mk3
This one has a fairly loud hum on the clean channel. All volumes are down, not affected by any tone controls, When I switch to the OD channel, hum fades away...
