Right yes the tl074 is 14 pin . I'm pretty sure it's in the audio circuit just by where it's placed in the layout but who knows until I get as schematic...

Tl074 upgrade
I have Peavey Profex II .Dont laugh it has very good reverb and delay. And very powerful EQs.However it can be a bit noisey.I was reading about upgrading...Last edited by cbass; 03-11-2016, 12:32 AM.

I have one of these in think it sounds OK for guitar as is.7591s are cool tubes I'd leave it and maybe tweak a few things.

as i stated earlier there was nothing wrong with the amp.The unused pins on the 5y3 were used for a connecting the 6.3 heaters to the rest of the tubes.Guess...

I have an amp with a 6ca4(ez81) that runs 2 7591a's at 475+vdc and five preamp tubes.The 6ca4 has been in there for 40+ years.I don't know about running 2...

Ok I don't know my ass from a hole in the ground.They used the unused pins on the rectifier for connections to the 6.3.How in the hell I didn't catch that...
