  • Ceria Tone DC-30 effect loop? Needed?

I'm having trouble with my DC-30 kit wiring the effect loop. I'm hoping I can just leave the wiring out for now and attach later. Is this possible? I have no use for an effect loop, but I'd be nice if it was there if I needed to sell.

I ran into the problem trying to figure out how THIS was wired (see pic below). The wires running diagonally somehow pick up "D" (tube shrink area) from the board (see layout above) on their way to the effect send/receive. It's some wiring trickery I'm not familiar with. After running out of wire and patience, I came here. Can I just leave D E F G wires out?

Never mind, looks like I can just connect D ot F and G to E to bypass this. Also, I figured out the wiring trickery. You have to carefully pull out one of the leads in the middle of the shielded wire.

Now that I've got this figured out...anyone have any suggestions for some power up testing that a newbie can understand. How do I test voltages - is black aways connected to ground? Are both trannies wired in? Also, how do I safely discharge the caps on this layout?

    Thanks.
