  • Mid-bite in 5E3?

Anyone try mid-bite (like Toneking Imperial) control in 5E3 clone?

    Looks very interesting.

TK does use that control in combination with a modified TMB-tonestack to get more mids/etc., afaik: it can not be used in a 5E3 circuit. The 5E3 is already "mid-bited" so to say

    But....

If you wanna have more mids/highs (and a less farty low-end) you can try lowering the coupling-cap-values to something like 0.047 or 0.022 and lowering the 1st two cathodebypass-caps to 4u7 or lower.

Voltages, tubes, transformers and speakers do also have a great impact on the sound.

No, mid-bite is in drive channel: vol - mid-bite - tone,
      in clean channel is vol-t(m)b,
      but thank you

Mid-bite has interesting voicing - from "cranked blackface" to
more mid and low- agressive marshallesque tone,
but I cant find schemo for it.

        Totally different amps...

Turn it around so to say (you already have a tweed/mid/etc.-sound); turn the volume-control of the non used channel above 9.9 for a "blackface mid-dip".
