Anybody tried the Mallory RI from Antique Electronics?

    I try to always use discrete caps instead of the can caps because they are cheaper and give better control of grounding. I'll only use cans for replacement purposes in repairs, and usually only if the customer wants me to after I explain the different options.

      Many times, if you want to keep the can cap look, you can use a dremmel or a grinder to evacuate the can and mount the modern discrete caps inside of it with a little silicon. Having the chassis look original is very important to some people.

        Thanks for the data, I will probably just go with the JJ's, like I usually do, but I sure do like the look of 40+ amp that sounds great and looks OEM.
