  • mesa boogie toggle switch replacements

A friend of mine asked if I could replace two of the mini toggle switches on his Mesa Boogie Lonestar.

    They are C&K 7101's, which I found on Mouser (611-7101-005, 7101SYZBE)
    http://www.mouser.com/Search/Product...SBDAtGJg%3d%3d

Before ordering, I wanted to check to make certain this is the correct part, which will really help save money.

    Is that the correct toggle?

    Thanks!!!

That looks like them...just make sure that the ones you buy have the right configuration, ie spdt or dpdt (three or six terminals). I always buy the double pole switches as the price difference is usually negligible from the single pole and they can be used in everything.

And make sure they are not momentary - the kind that springs back to one way when you release it

Thanks -- the switch has the model number (7101), but not the part number.
The one I chose was the "standard" part - there are one or two others that have minor differences (shorter shaft IIRC).

I just wanted to check first.

Right. Momentary switches are identified by (on) markings in catalog listings. So you'd want one marked ON-ON or they may show it as ON-NONE-ON. The "none" just means no third position. The momentary variant would be marked as ON-(ON).
