Heater center tap

In a build I'm working on the PT does not have a heater center tap so I'll use an atrificial one (one 100 ohm R to ground from each leg). Also, I'm using a 120v pilot light socket so I cant run the CT off that. Can I run the CT off the first tube in the string? That is, the heater leads to the tube pins, and the resistors off the same pins to ground. Ground point is the same as the PT primary ground.
