  • O.T. secondary confusion

I'm using the OT from a Bassman 70 & I'm a lil confused about the secondary please take a look and see if you can explain the wiring for me. Is the GRN-YEL wire a 2ohm tap?
    much obliged

Yes the GRN-YEL wire is the 2 ohms tap. Inserting a plug into the EXT jack switches the tap from 4 ohms to 2 ohms.
WARNING! Musical Instrument amplifiers contain lethal voltages and can retain them even when unplugged. Refer service to qualified personnel.
REMEMBER: Everybody knows that smokin' ain't allowed in school !

As a side note, plugging a speaker into the EXT jack without a speaker plugged into the main jack will not allow any sound to be produced. (The 2 ohm tap will be shorted out by the main jack.) (If you don’t want to use the main jack, you can plug a phone plug into it that does not have a cable on it, then the EXT jack will need a 2-ohm load instead of a 4-ohm load.)
