Cobalt steel magnets?

Cobalt magnets.

Well crap on me. I used to hear in the 70s people calling the Gibson P 90 pickups, cobalt pickups. Later on someone said that was incorrect. So i guess there is such a thing as a cobalt magnet. Goes to show you how much i know.

A5 bars from China are right around $.40 ea and they sound just fine apparently. I don't imagine anyone pays more that $2.50 ea so we'll just say the FeCo are around $7.50 ea but perhaps that price could drop dramatically if someone were set up to process them?
