  • I screwed this One up!

I have a vintage club 50 that i was soldering a new input jack on and when I pulled out all the tubes to remove the board i forgot which sockets had the
12 ax7's and wich had the el 84's and of course i got them mixed up. I smelled somthing burn and heard a little sizzle. No sound at all from the power amp section even when i go through the insert jack to bypass the preamp section. The Heater voltage still lights up the tubes but no sound. If anyone has any ideas what could have happened or where to start trouble shooting I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks, Alan

Hi Alan, welcome to the forum.

Start by checking the high voltage fuse or fuses. Then look at the voltages around the power tube sockets.

Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.
