  • Fender Blues DeVille Faceplate?

Probably aimed at a shop which is authorized Fender...

A buddy just bought himself a Blues DeVille 212 (cheap - $100 - I don't know how he constantly finds these things...). Trouble is besides the missing speakers (no big deal to replace as we know) somebody removed the faceplate.

I see hints on the web that Fender is pretty tight with faceplates, for probably pretty obvious reasons. So does he have a prayer of getting a stock replacement from Fender?

Or is there a source for an aftermarket replacement? It would have to be just as thin as the original (probably rules out plastic) due to the jack & pot hardware.

    Thanks all -

I don't know about hints. I do know I would call Fender and ask if they are made available through dealers, if they do have them in stock, what would the part number be for a dealer to order.

A decal - sticker type of overlay faceplate is now available on E-bay. They look good, are easy to apply and make it possible to see the controls

I have a very good condition faceplate from a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe. It's identical to Blues Deville, with one additional hole for the "more drive" button. PM me if you're interested.

Didn't hear back from you, @MarkBlack, so here's my listing for the Fender face plate, in case you're interested:

I haven't been on the forum in quite a long time so was surprised to see a message.

xtian thanks for trying - maybe I will shoot the guy an email in case he still has the project on a 'back-burner' somewhere. :-)
