R1 is a labeled as a NTC safety resistor. 10 ohms.
More than likely it is a thermistor.
        10 ohms.
        NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient)

          hello everybody

i was hoping somebody could give me some advice.
          i have a dynacord powermate 1000 2nd generation
two EV force 15" speakers which are rated at 400W RMS
and i believe the dynacord is rate at 350W per side

would i be able to hook up 2 more of the same or similar speakers to this system without blowing anything or overpowering anything?

What is needed to answer the question is this:
What is the OHM rating of the speakers.
The PM1000 is rated down to 4 ohms.
At a 4 ohm load it will provide 700 watts of power to the speakers.
If the EV speakers are 8 ohms & you run two in parallel, that is 4 ohms.
Whether the speakers , rated at 400 watts each, can take it, this I do not know.
Edit: the factory states that the amp is stable down to 2.66 ohms. @870 watts output.
