  • Silvertone OT

I have a 1472 here , with i think the original OT. It has 3 wires to the speaker.

    scem shows 2 .

    how is it wired ?

1 wire is thicker than the other 2 , but all are black coated

    This came with 1 - 12" speaker

      Hi,

Are you sure it is the original OT as indeed the schematic shows only one way to wire it at 3,2 Ohm (4 ohm).
The 1482 has an OT that has 3 wires so you can choose 4 or 8 ohm.

I renovated a 1482 and also encountered the problem of how to wire it up. The wiring of the schematic shows how it should be wired but I found out that in my case that was wrong. The (-) side of the is connected to ground so you can check that with a DMM. That helped me find pout that the (-) side was not where the schematic indicated it to be.

I hope this will help you.

      Best, Marc
