Pulling power tubes from a Twin Reverb RI

My guitar player has a twin that is just too loud as everyone knows. I have been researching this problem today for him and read where he can pull a pair of the 6L6GC's and disconnect one of the speakers. My question is which ones are the pairs? The two inside and outside? The opposite..two next to each other (first and second..ect).

2 Outside or 2 inside ones are the ones to pull. Rebias after you pull them. Probably will be okay but at least check the bias.
