  • UK Marshall 8008 240V in US

A Marshall 8008 was given to me. It's a 230V version but I live and would like to use it in the US at 120V. The circuit board has different jumpers for the 2 voltages which lead to the transformer. It also indicates different fuse ratings for each as well.

Other than acquiring a monster external transformer, is there an easier means to modify this amp to use US current.

    BIG THANKS....!!!!

Looks to be a universal transformer already. Look at the schematic, and compare to the existing wiring. It appears you will need to remove the 240v jumper wire, and add two 120v jumper wires, and then install the larger value fuse.
