  • Radial Headbone

I have a laney head that has come back to my shop multiple times now. Customer is using the Headbone. I'm very suspicious that this is the issue. The Laney continues to blow the internal fuse. He is using a Hiwatt as the alternate head and there is no problem with that amp blowing fuses. From what I know of Hiwatts they have monstrous transformers. I'm going to replace the fuse once more, now that he has brought the headbone in to me. Then try it and see if the fuse blows. This could be solid first hand proof that these head switches are a danger to any tube amp.

doesn't the headbone have to have a ground through amp1? Maybe its a bad amp ground?
