Superquick controller idea

I just threw together a 1 minute project and thought to share it. A unit I have here, uses a 250K pot based controller ala Ernie Ball volume pedal (I have one but it's heavy). What works now is a halved tennis ball with a hole poked through for a pot and a set-screw knob for the footwork. (The Digitech 1101 likes the ground wire as center of pot.)
Kinda embarrasing, but why not share the prototype. See pic.

Update, the ball needed a base. I found a 90 degree piece of nylon washer-thing. Loosened an allen screw and secured it to the side. See pic.
I've assigned this to reverb level or whatever. (the dinged corner you might see, saved me $200 at L&M
