  • Transformer core orientation

    Howdy,

Normally with two vertical mounted transformers you orient the core of the PT 90 degrees to the core of the OT. In the case of my current build, my PT is horizontal mount. What is the best way to orient the cores of these two transformers to reduce interference and hum? They are being mounted to a small chassis, so orientation is a factor. Thanks for any help.

    Thanks,

    Steve

Do the headphone trick and you can use empirical proof:

If the PT is Z-mount and the OT is X-mount, then their axis will already be oriented differently. 2CW
