my NOS 5y3 is not working. bad tube?

hi guys.
i just received my NOS 5y3. it doesn't work.
i think it's a bad tube. i plugged it into the rectifier socket and these'r almost no output on the pin 8, just 2,6v.
my old sovtek 5y3gt has 360v output.

am i doing something wrong?

2.6V is just about half of the 5V heater voltage, maybe you're measuring that? Is the filament glowing a soft red color?

If I understand you, your old tube works, but the new tube doesn't? That pretty much HAS to mean the new tube is bad. I mean the amp and the tube socket don't know what tube you stuck in there.
