Is this a 1972 amp with AB165 circuit? See pics...the chassis number is A66027.

And one transformer number is 022871, 606-2 03

Also...is everything original?....the main filter caps are all original brown Mallory.

Will it damage anything if I just play the amp as-is, or do I need to change some

components ? It plays great with no issues but I want to protect it.

All advice appreciated......I just play my guitar through it, no bass.

    Thanks in advance

Its not the AB165, but its not hard to make this circuit perform better than it does stock.

For starters, the .002u caps on the output tube grids need to go....along with the caps across the plate load resistors on each channel's input stage. Its likely the lead dress will need to be tidied up after removing those caps....it may oscillate.
