  • Fender Princeton Reverb RI Question (Bias)

I'm gonna get a Princeton Reverb soon. As I know myself I'll change the tubes pretty soon after I get the amp Now I wonder if it's easy to Bias. Is there a 1ohm measureresistor installed or do I have to order some and install them myself? If there are some are they on the PCB or at the tube socket? Easy to access? Maybe someone has a good picture?

    Thanks...

    The '65 Princeton Reverb?

WHy not just go to Fender.com and download the schematic set from the support files.

Yes, 1 ohm resistors are there, on the main board. Test points are wire attachments and are identified on the layout drawing. For those readings to mean anything, you'll also have to measure B+ at the tubes anyway, so none of this happens with the chassis still in the cab.

Or buy yourself a BiasRite or one of the other bias testers that plug into the tube sockets and take readings that way.
