  • JCM900 Power transfromer in Europe

    Hello,
I'm just about to replace the power transformer on a JCM 900 that is blowing fuses.
    It's a 100 watt Model (4102).
Can someone help me find a shop in Europe where I can buy this transformer?

I already found Tube-Town - Hot Stuff cool sounds, although they only have the original Marshall replacement (remember, the first one blow...) and the hammond replacement. I would like to have other options, and the cheaper the better.

BTW, between the two (Marshall and Hammond) which one should I choose?

    Regards

Netztrafo fr: Marshall 100 W, ab 71 bis einschl. JCM800 Röhren, AMP Kits und Lautsprecher - Tube Amp Doctor

Not cheap, but I have good experiences with their xformers.
If I had to choose between Marshall and Hammond, I'd take the Hammond.

    Cheers,
    Albert

      Hello Albert,
      Thank you for your reply.
I knew TAD trasformers, but they are quite expensive. This isn't the amp of my dreams, so I will not spend very much €€ on it.
One more point for the Hammond, maybe I will go with it.

BTW, once we spoke about de Dynacord Eminent, I have one and you helped me out with the transformers wiring. Thanks! ;-)

Yes, I remember. Glad you could work it out.

        Best regards

Here you go for some more transformers. This company is specialized in making tube audio transformers. I've used several of their PTs and OTs as well as chokes. They are really very good. You just have to check if one of them matches your needs for the voltages and currents.

            Thanks txstrat!
I've just contacted them, and I'm waiting for them to reply.
I think they have some transfromers in stock that would fit even that I might have to change the Bridge rectifier to a Full wave due to the transformers being center taped.
But lets wait for the reply, maybe they have a drop in replacement...

            Thank again! ;-)
