  • Help with doing a vocal set up.

Here's one for you muso/electronics types. Being a student, I'm trying to do a vocal set up for band practice with my metal band on the cheap.

I looked into buying a powered mixer but there is nothing in my price range that would keep up with the guitars and drums.

I have two 300 watt RMS speakers, would I be able to power them with this amp (Lanzer Amplifier for sale - TradeMe.co.nz - New Zealand) and run my mic through this mixer (BEHRINGER MX400 4 CHANNEL MIXER for sale - TradeMe.co.nz - New Zealand) into the amp via this adapter (http://tiny.cc/4buyd)?

Bit fresh when it comes to this, any advice would be greatly appreciated, cheers

The power amp looks like it's a car audio type, with a 12Vdc power input, rather than a regular ac line supply.
I seriously doubt that it would drive your speakers properly, even if you can rig up a 12Vdc 80amp (?) power supply for it. A regular 800 watt (into 4 ohms) amp would need maybe +90Vdc and -90Vdc supplies.
But with a proper PA / pro audio power amp, your idea would be fine.
