Wiring difference

Hello,

I've searched the net as best I can and am having trouble getting an answer to a basic question, so I thought I'd try here. I'm not an amp builder, but simply researching new production amps from various makers.

What is the difference between direct-to-point wiring and point-to-point wiring?
