It was so so cool! It was all "Pew sizzle krizzle pop." Scared the fuckin shit outta me.
So I picked up this amp "broken" for $150. "Lights up, but no sound." Internal HT fuse was shot. Replaced and turned it on. The EL34 just fryed in front of my eyeballs. Neat. Checked all the components around the sockets, no burnt resistors or anything. We're good on that. Gotta go to Fry's in a few mins and pick up a different fuse because this time the external blew out.
I have a fish on the hook so I gotta get this amp back up in a few days. I don't wanna sell it unless it's gonna be good for the guy. I'll take a loss or wait to sell before I screw someone.
You guys think it was just a bad/old tube shorting or what? I don't wanna keep blowing tubes all week, haha. That'll kill my profit. Thanks guys.
