  • Crate PSM12

I tryed to get a schematic for a Crate PSM12P amplified speaker from Crate, Loud Inc. The said they had nothing on it.
So I'm hoping someone here has one on any PSM amplified speaker.
The preamp section in the one I have is damaged and its all surface mount and multi layered board so tracing signal path has been an issue. The PCB was made by / for soundking and is most likely used any many amplified speakers.

      Fantastic!
Wonder why they didn't have it?
      Thanks! Thanks! Thanks!
Looking at the schematic I think I know whats wrong now.
D1 was shorted. I replaced it and still got no sound out.
Plenty of sound when I inject it at U1A pin 1, So probably issues with Q1-Q4 and or U1A.

Gain pot seams to be working so U1A is OK.
        Must be Q1-Q4 issues.

They did have it, I got it from there.

What the rep probably did was look through the Crate list and found it not to be there and told you so. What he probably didn;t do was look through the other list - Crate Pro Audio - where it was hiding. The Crate list is instrument amps. Crate AUdio is PA gear.

Don't bug them about it though, they try.

Hate to impose again but I need a part number for Q1-Q4 if there is a parts list.
they are PNP's on the schematic and marked 3FX on the tops. SOT23 package. All I come up with is an 3F# as a BC857 which is a NPN.

UPDATE. I was trusting a SMD cross site. IT said it was NPN. Its not, The BC857 is PNP.

A friend of mine has a blown Crate PSM12P pa. He's asked me to take a look at.

I've tried to download the attached schematic but can't.

Can any of you help me out?

                  Thanks
