  • More gain - 5e3?

    Could someone here remind me how to jump the channels of a
    standard 5e3 together to produce more gain?
    Thanks in advance.

              Normal = Mic

              Bright = Inst

                Jumping the channels will not increase the gain. It will cause the two channels to be interactive, you can adjust both volume controls to tailure the tone to your liking, but the gain will not increase. I like to plug into the Bright channel #1 then run a patch cord from Bright #w2 to Normal #1.

                But there is also a lot of interactivity between the channels even when not jumpered. Try plugging into the Bright #1 channel and setting the Volume for that channel to about 6, then adjust the Volume control of the NOrmal channel and listen to the change in tone that results.
