I wound a humbucker kit from stewmac today, and when tried to put the covers on it did'nt fit. The holes were really off. Does anyone know where i can find covers that fit
    the stewmac humbuckers?

    Hello Tompa:
Stewmac sells 2 different sizes of covers.
The smaller one are either 49.2mm or 50mm.
The Larger is probably 53mm covers.
If you have a way to measure the pole spacing that would help us determine what you have.
You measure the center of the screws of the outside poles of the bobbin.
Do that and also measure the covers the outside set of holes center to center.
Most Humbucer bobbins are in 3 sizes.
    49.2mm(The Gibson Orig. Specs)
    50mm(Most Imports)
53mm(Trembuckers, and used on some bridge P/Us)
Please get back to us with your measurements.

    Thanks,
    Terry
*Edit Note: If you bought covers and kits, from StewMac, I would call them and give them a chance to make it right!
