  • Dating an old Supro amp

    Howdy,
I have just bought an old small Supro amp.
The 500k volume pot is coded 304741.
304 is the EIA code for Stackpole pots.
Is 741 the 41st week of 1947? Or rather 1957?
The speaker code is almost illegible: it could be 285809. If so, it is a Rola speaker: 1948 or 1958?
This tiny amp looks very very old, I am more inclined to think it is from the late 40s. I have found a schematic named "Supro 1948" that seems to fit, although I haven't checked it thoroughly.

The OT is mounted on the speaker frame but I can't tell if it is a field coil speakeror not from the picture. If it is a field coil speaker and hasn't been modified, it is probably from the 40s.

Here I attach the schematics that *seems to* fit this amp. I don't think it's a field coil speaker.
