  • boy caps are getting smaller!

bought some nice PS PCBs a bit back from a nice fellow in HK, The "Audiowind" SP-7, 1.5mm FR4 with plated through holes and the ability to have 3 snap in caps per rail (Dia <30mm) or 2 caps per rail (dia <45mm) with std 10mm or the big 4 terminal leads

managed to load it up with 0.132F at 35V using Panasonic ECO-S1VP223DA, they're 22,000uF/35v and only 30mmx50mm

its jumpered since its not for a bipolar application, just to help a 24VDC fridge start up, it was MUCH less soldering than this one (which I'd need 4 of)

Did you calculate the ESR or ripple current rating?
WARNING! Musical Instrument amplifiers contain lethal voltages and can retain them even when unplugged. Refer service to qualified personnel.
REMEMBER: Everybody knows that smokin' ain't allowed in school !

      total ESR 0.0043 ohms at 120Hz / 25°C
      total ripple current 36.6A at 120Hz / 85°C
      Charge Q = 3.168 Coulombs
      Energy E = 38.016 Joules

      (I think!)
