Cort Artisan B5 Problem

The bridge pickup on my bass appears to be shorting out, unless there is an issue with the Balance pot or Circuit for the bass.

balance volume pot: set to neck bass works fine
balance volume pot: set to bridge, doesn't work properly. You get extremely intermittent signal. Mainly when you play the bass VERY VERY HARD.

volume, treble, mid, bass pots are all working properly

-when i throw the ON/ON Mini Toggle SW to the DOWN position (looking from players view) the signal on the working pickup is fine

-when i throw the ON/ON Mini Toggle SW to the UP position (looking from players view) the signal on the working pickup is extremely loud

-switch has no affect on the intermittent Bridge pickup, although tied to it through the MK-1 Board.

I have a replacement pick from Bartollini, however I don't want to install it if in fact its the Balance Pot or the Switch...

How can i properly test them?
