  • Eddie Van Halens 1978 White and black striped strat neck specs

I was wondering if anyone had ever seen any specs on the original CBS headstock maple neck strat Eddie was playing on in 1978, the famous one on the original Van Halen album?

Seems the neck was a wide and almost flat neck, maybe a 16 inch radius with jumbo frets but I wonder what the back neck shape was? What size nut ? Maybe 1-11/16?

seems every one I seen building a clone of this guitar never gets the neck correct.

    Thanks

I do think your specs are correct for the Kramer neck. But that's based on some reading LONG AGO. FWIW, and IIRC, Eddie used a Gibson Explorer for most of VH1. I believe the Kramer was the second LP. I don't remember a CBS Stratocaster neck ever being mentioned. But I'm not a fanatic either so that could have got past me.
