  • Laney Lionheart 20 watt clone?

Any Laney Servicers out there? The Lionheart is supposed to be a parallel open ended class A amusing 4 EL84 output tubes for 20 watts. I'm curious if one could approximate one using an old stereo 4x EL84 Magnavox chassis as a doner? The Laney schematic is nonexistent on the web and I'm not familiar with parallel open ended class A architecture/layout, but I love the sound of 5 watt El84 open ended amps in saturation. Just curious.

(Single Ended) Depends on what the Magnavox has for a circuit. Might be of interest.

Yeah, I meant single ended. Brain fart. Still seems like an interesting concept. I meant basically using the iron and the tubes if usable. They usually have a beefy PT and are stereo with 4 EL84s and 2 OTs.
