    You can use some of the bass soapbar pickup parts.
    A lot of the import 7 and 8s use pickups that look like EMG bass pickups.

    I like the bass type soap bar Humbuckers they are easy and inexpensive to make, work and sound good too!

      Not just imports. Most of the extended range guitars use pickups that look like bass soapbars. I make a pickup for a 9 string guitar back in 2008 and it was in an EMG 40 size case.

      Like this Duncan 7 string pickup.
