  • 6G15 layout

Getting ready to build a 6G15 and have some layout considerations. I think I'd like to go with the MOD tank hanging off the front baffle with springs. Looking at the Mojo chassis. But I wonder about the rear facing trafos and if the close proximity will be an issue. My cab builder suggests screwing it down to the bottom panel like in a combo. I don't want to paint myself into a corner. Anyone have any insight here? And does anyone sell the transport bracket that mutes the pan springs in the vertical spring loaded config?
It's weird, because it WAS working fine.....

    The factory schematic includes layout.

If you google 6G15 there are some other layout images.

As to hanging the pan, are you concerned about space or noise? If you are building a cab, you can make it as roomy as you like. As to noise, well that is where the pan was mounted on teh Fenders, and it worked there. Keep the output end of the pan as far from the power transformer as possible.

You want the mute thingie? Order the parts for one through Fender.
