  • Tolexing a 5e3-style cab...

I'm about to tolex my 5e3 cab and was wondering if you guys have any insight if i only wanted to do one seam instead of the usual 4 pieces.
I'm worried about the front corners due to the front 'edges'.
If I do have to go the standard route (4 pieces), how to I tackle the front corners?
The cab is std tweed deluxe specs.

No problem, you'll just need a real long Tolex strip which can wrap around the amp in one piece, leaving the single joint below, invisible.

    PS: *beautiful* cab.
Why not just stain/varnish it or similar to show the wood?

I have a piece that can go right around, but I'm not sure how to go about making the front corners so they look nice

Google some tutorials and how-to, some should explain it.

I'm tolexing cabinets everyday (yesterday I did a head and a 2x12") but the batteries leaked inside my camera, so I can't post pictures now.
        Sorry.
