  • need help with wiring dimmer

Im sure this has been gone over before but i can't seem to find what Im looking for.
I have a dimmer switch with two black wires and a green wire. I want to wire it to slow the motor
because the foot switch i have with it starts way to fast to wind pickups.
The plug that goes into the electrical outlet has two prongs and is a two wire cord
if i cut the cord i will have four connections to make and Im not sure how to hook them to the dimmer?

Im new to the forum and pickup winding so any help would be great!
    Thanks!

Neutral goes straight to the motor, Hot gets the dimmer wired into the circuit.

I am not an electrician. Proceed at your own risk.

ID:	829171Hook up the motor that it works.
Now break one of the wires & insert the speed control (series).
