  • Bobbin machining jig for CNC router

Hey all, long time since I posted, thought I'd share how I'm now making my bobbins. The pics should be self explanatory, hopefully this might be helpful for someone Bobbin material is acetal (Delrin), as is the bulk of the fixture. Router bit is a Whiteside 3110. I'm bead blasting the tops as per the final pic in the second post.

Thanks, rhgwynn! It's a massive time saver compared to my old method, I'm just annoyed it took me so long to come up with it. Seems an obvious solution in retrospect.

          Awesome!

Is that a keyway cutter you are using?

Want to make me some? hehehe!

It's listed as an undercut bit. Similar but with only one cutting diameter. IIRC keyway and t slot bits have 2 cutting diameters.

I'd possibly be willing to do batches of bobbins. Depends on quantity and what you're willing to pay lol
