  • Free pickup winder

    Hi

I have a homemade pickup winder which needs a new home.
As you can see from the photos it is nothing special.

It has a motor from a pedestal fan and the rest is made from mdf, the fan controller is faulty and needs replacing. (HPM 300F) about$20 or $30 from memory.

It works and I have wound pickups on it no worries.
The only thing I dont like about it is the wheel spins clockwise. (looking at it from the side you attach the bobbin)

If anyone is interested Pm me. It is available LOCAL PICKUP ONLY.
I live in Perth, Western Australia.
I work away 2 weeks at a time so please be patient if I dont replay straight away.

    Regards
    Legin

perhaps it would spin counter-clockwise if it were in the northern hemisphere?

"Free pickup winder" reads like "Free Sex". There's always a downside.

Buses to Perth are somewhat infrequent from England

I have my winder spinning clockwise as well. Don't see an issue with that. You want the wire to go over the top. You can see it better.
It would be possible to describe everything scientifically, but it would make no sense; it would be without meaning, as if you described a Beethoven symphony as a variation of wave pressure. — Albert Einstein

                Pickup Winder

Have you trashed this puppy yet?

I'm in Sydney but can get it picked up if you can wrap it and give me a rough size and weight...

a bit of trouble I realise... anyway let me know by mail if your are OK with this.

I'll pay for shipping and packing.

                a long and winding road...

                regards
