Figured i'd post this non music and topic here since I'm a long time member of the forum and people are so helpful and knowledgeable on here.
So I read a bit about using a 12v gsm relay to make a car alarm on the cheap that will call my phone when the relay activates. Anyone have any advice on the simplest way of doing this? I have hoodlums thrashing my car twice this week. I would like to catch them and call the 5-0's. I've read about using an old phone and wiring up the phone but that seems a bit complex. I guess I don't really need it to call my phone... A simple vibrating or beeping device would work. Either something that senses the door opening or that senses the 12v turning the dome light on.
