They can be used in Wah pedals. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lL9ToDSFz0E
I recently picked up (not literally) a wurlitzer 4100b organ. 9 GE 12AX7 made it worth the money the rest is cream, including a Jensen C12R speaker and another alnico 12" of unknown origin, a whopping big PT, 28 RCA 12FQ8 (going to make valve casters), a pair of RCA 7868, numerous modular chassis and hundreds of brown caps (All Good brand)of similar form to those I have seen in SF Bassman (except they were blue). Oh happy days. Alas, no Leslie.
There's also a bunch of inductors/chokes. According to the schematics posted elsewhere on this forum http://music-electronics-forum.com/t25817/ they operate at 270v feeding into a 12ax7. Not having used chokes before, I don't know if these are go to be of any use as a power supply choke due to the current handling limitations they may have. Each one has a different size & inductance.
Is anyone familiar with these chokes and are they of any use in an amp? Even a small SE EL84 & twin triode contraption? Anything else I could use them for apart from fishing weights?
My 4100B had the following measurements:
DCR Part # Inductance at dc current
266 500407 4.1H @ 30mAdc: 2.3H @ 50mAdc; 0.9H @ 90mAdc;

450 501124 1.7H @ 58mAdc; 1.2H @ 94mAdc
400, 708 500408 1.4H @ 66mAdc; 0.9H @ 108mAdc
