    Mackie <shudder> Those are the worst to disassemble and work on. I feel for you.

    Sorry just to clarify, you had a shorted opamp decoupling cap on the +16V line? Are these mic pre opamps?

      Not a mic preamp but on one of the 4560's on the main board. It was a + supply bypass cap on the Channel 11 freq select amp.

      And I'm sure you'll appreciate the fact that I got it all reassembled and then uncovered the POD board shield under my bench insulation.

      "So that's why I had 2 extra 4/40 allen screws left over!" :-(

        Same mixer here. I just fixed it seeing bad soldering on the four main power wires arriving at the main board.
        This may help someone else!
