Is this the Bourns one you found or might this be a different one that will work?

Mr Dude - the mouser one has too short of a shaft , and the marshall knob wont fit ( so ive read ). if it was mine id use it, but the owner wants the exact replacement.

Where did you read that? I read on Marshall forum that it is the correct part?
Is the old one intact? Measure the shaft. The Bourns part shaft is 1/4" diameter, 1&1/4" long, how much longer could the Marshall part be?

          Is this the part?
The JMP-1 parts list calls it out as a "PD1A DATA INCREMENT CONTROL"

Yes that's it, as far as I know, the Bourns pot just solders in to that tiny board.
