    I read about that a couple of days ago. It works on a copper surface only.
    If they can make it work on any surface, we can hoverboard

          The Koreans used aluminum, although copper will also work.

          The Hoverboard is a hoax. See the end of the video, starting at 1:41 into the video.

          Think about how one would generate side forces (parallel to the floor) without friction. Without side forces, no maneuvering, starting, or stopping.

            I do not agree that this is a humorous or malicious deception. It is just a lot of fun.

              Completely different principle, but still pretty cool to play with! Picked it up at a small town gift shop a bunch of years back.



              South up in the very centre of the base with a North up ring around the outside edge of the base. The pendant is North on the bottom.
