  • Help with Envoy 110 please!

I recently blew a fuse on my amp so when I had to replace it, I had to disconnect all the wires. Now i didn't label the wires and i don't know what order to put them back on. There are 4 wires and 6 points to connect to. please helpClick image for larger version

What is the full name of the amp?
I have four 'Envoy's' (including two Transtube Envoy) & none of them match what you have.

You may have to call Peavey with a model # & a serial number.

FYI: when fuses blow it is a pretty good indication that something is wrong.

That IC that is bolted to the heatsink would be my guess.
Can you read the part number on it? (TDA XXXX or LM XXXX)

Sorry pal but you're "up the creek without a paddle" ......

Al l4 cats ... sorry, wires .... are grey, there's no way (for us) to differentiate them.

Write straight to Peavey, tell them honestly what happened, include this picture.
They're great guys and care a lot about customers.

They will certainly send you a suitable schematic and very probably some means to identify those wires.

I beg you to post results here, they will help some future user with the same problem.

      Good luck

PD: that's by far the safest and shortest way.

If no response in 10 days (consider we're surrounded by Holidays) ask again and we might find some other way ... but it will certainly be slow and complex.

And please get the proper fuse.

        Peavey will have them.

It may be that the amp is a Bravo 110 Transtube /1995.
This one that the OP has appears to use the LM1875 output IC.

          EDIT: Envoy Transtube /1995

Isn't the Bravo a Tube amp?

I looked at all of my Peavey schematics to see if any used the same board.
Apparently I had Bravo stuck in my head.

It would be nice if the OP would divulge what the amp is.
I see a DSP board, which suggests a Transtube ENVOY.
There where a few different amps in this model.
I have no schematics that show that LM output IC.
I did find a reference to a 1995 with that ic.
I have a scheme marked TT Envoy 1995 but it uses TO3 transistors.

              Monday Peavey will be in.

That scheme I do not have.
Best bet is to contact the fine folks at Peavey.

                    I tried Peavey today.
No luck on the correct schematic.
They will try the techs next.

Hopefully the schematic will include the power transformer & supply, unlike some other Peavey drawings I've seen lately .
