12ax7 Triode + Mosfet Tremolo circuit

I stumbled upon this tremolo circuit when wondering what to do with half of v1 of a single channel 5f6a type amp.



First of all thanks to whoever created it and put it up on the internet!

Question: Am I mistaken, or is the LED going the wrong way?
