  • I'M BACK... after 1 year away from the soldering iron

Just restarted to finish my new 4 channels preamp. Every gain stage was tested and figured out separately on a breadboard last year, so now it's time to put everything back in place.

    Here's an overview:
    CLEAN: 3 stage, HI-MID-LOW-VOLUME controls
    OVERDRIVE: 3 STAGE, DRIVE-HI-LOW-VOLUME controls
    CRUNCH: 3 STAGE, DRIVE-HI-MID-LOW-VOLUME controls
    + Bounding Network switch
+ Cathode focusing gain switch (thick sound)
    HIGAIN: 4 channel, DRIVE-HI-MID-LOW-VOLUME
    + Bounding Network switch
    + Interstage frequency switch
    + Cathode focusing gain swicth

NOW THIS HERE IS WHERE I NEED YOUR IDEAS:

There is ONE unused hole in my front panel control for a potentiometer. What could be an interesting functionality for this pot ?

Feel free to shime in with

How about a master volume. Then once you have all your channel volumes set relative to one another you can vary the overall level.
