I see the 500k vs 1m master volume and the cathode and plate on stage 4. I guess I'm not sure the tonal difference of the 2nd stage grids either.

Weird? I see them well it's prolly the same thing you have covered many times before. The Hot Rod vs SLO. I own the hot rod and was hoping to tweek it to The SLO. Like I said earlier, I see the 4th stage has a 220k plate and bypassed cathode. But I was hoping someone could tell me the tonal difference in how the early stages are different. The cap across the 470k grid vs the cap/ resistor design on the hot rod.
